F. I. Marconi Jr., D.D.S., M.S. was born in Panama and has lived in the United States since 1956. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami in 1967, his dental degree from the University of Costa Rica in 1972 and his Master of Science degree in orthodontics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 1974. Upon graduation, he was invited by the University of Louisville to serve as Assistant Professor of Orthodontics for the graduate and undergraduate program.
In 1978, Dr. Marconi initiated his private practice in orthodontics, to which he has since been dedicated. He has received several honors by the American Association of Orthodontists and several dental societies; he has also been privately teaching Orthodontic Biomechanics to other orthodontists and is continually invited to lecture internationally.
He holds membership in such recognized societies as the AAO, the ADA, the NDMABDS, and ALOA. He has been president of both the Miami Beach and North Dade Dental Societies and is an active in organized dentistry. He is licensed to practice in Kentucky and Florida.
Dr. Marconi's interests are quite varied. He is an accomplished snow skier, scuba diver, sailor and pilot. He built his own 4 place private plane capable of log range flights, a 4-1/2 year project. He enjoys salsa, classical music, art, anthropology and his greatest wish is not having to sleep. Dr. Marconi and his wife, Maria, enjoy being active in the community they serve.
